Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2
If you’re looking for the best all-around Microsoft laptop computer for your online classes, the Surface Laptop Go 2 is definitely a contender. It’s sort of like if a tablet and a laptop had a baby. The 3:2 aspect ratio of its 12.4-inch screen is a definite selling point, allowing you to fit more work onto your screen at a time. Its 12-hour battery life, along with its 2.5-pound weight, makes it easy to join your online classes anywhere you have a WiFi signal. Wrap that all into a package that costs less than $600, and you have a computer that’s also accessible to many students.
Microsoft Surface Pro 8
The Microsoft Surface is an interesting beast. While it is, at its core, a tablet, it can function flawlessly as a laptop, too. Its hardware is a little more powerful than the Surface Laptop Go, with a full 1080 webcam and a 13-inch display. Its tablet-ness also makes it perfect for taking notes while you’re attending an online class. However, it’s not perfect. If you want a keyboard, you’ll have to buy it separately. And that can be a tough sell for cash-strapped students since the Surface Pro 8 can clock in at about $700. Still, if you can afford it, the Surface Pro 8 is a killer machine that you’ll be able to use for years to come.
