The Associate of Science in Firearms Technology Degree program is broken into 4, 16-week semesters. Because of our flexible learning options, students choose to study at whatever time of day works best. Though schedules will vary, students will take courses from the following list:

*FTT 299: Elective Options: Course availability may vary each semester. Not all courses may be offered each term.

  • FTE 211: 1911 Advanced Armorer (Students must be 21 years of age to select FTE 211 course)
    (Students MUST complete a firearms transfer with a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer to be eligible to select FTE 211 course).
  • FTE 217: Modern Sporting Rifle
    (Students MUST complete a firearms transfer with a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer to be eligible to select FTE 217 course).
  • FTE 218: Pump Shotgun Armorer
    (Students MUST complete a firearms transfer with a Federal Firearms Licensed dealer to be eligible to select FTE 218 course).
  • FTE 225: Developing a Business Plan

ANY student who fails the firearm transfer background check and appeal process will only be eligible to select FTE 225 to meet the FTT 299 elective
requirement.

Residents of California, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York may not enroll in the FTE 211 course due to state restrictions.

Residents of Washington state must be at least 21 years of age to participate in all FTT 299 Firearms Technology Electives.
