We know from experience that students have greater opportunity for success when they do not carry a financial burden during school. At the Sonoran Desert Institute, all of our colleges and schools work with a variety of tuition assistance programs for those who qualify. Loans: SDI uses the SLM Financial Corporation as our primary student lender. In most cases, students can obtain educational loans that defer payments while in school. This means that you do not have to make any payments until you graduate. Ask your Admissions Representative how to obtain a loan from SLM Financial Corporation to see if you qualify. Grants: Our school has access to workforce investment act (WIA) monies, scholarships, and grants for students who qualify. In some cases State Vocational Rehabilitation grant money is available. Ask your Admissions Representative for details to see if you may qualify. The United States Military Forces: Tuition reimbursement is available through Active Duty Tuition Assistance programs (T/A) and the DANTES program. Ask your Admissions Representative for details to see how to check with your education services officer (ESO) for details. Veterans Assistance: SDI is approved for Veterans Benefits for its Gunsmithing and Home Inspection Diploma programs. Eligible Veterans receive the appropriate forms from this address: www.gibill.va.gov. Company Reimbursement: In many instances, employers as part of employee benefit programs will reimburse their employees who attend our school (due to its accreditation status).
