ADA Policy

In accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, as amended, SDI prohibits discrimination on the basis of a disability. The Institute is committed to making reasonable accommodations to meet the needs of the student with a disability as long as it does not fundamentally alter the nature of the service, program, or activity or give rise to an undue financial or administrative burden. Appropriate academic adjustments will be determined based on the student’s specific disability and individual needs. These may include auxiliary aids and services, as well as modifications to academic requirements as necessary to ensure equal educational opportunity. Reasonable accommodations will be granted to students who present appropriate documentation of a disability and are otherwise qualified to participate in their specific program of study.

Students with disabilities requesting accommodations should send an email to accommodations@sdi.edu for assistance.
